Task :
Step 1: Set induction
Show different kinds of materials with different shapes to the class for eg. A ball, an orange, a cube, a box etc.
Then ask the pupils what is the shapes of each materials.
Step 2: Lesson development
List responses from the pupils and write it on the board. Emphasize the spelling of each shape for eg. Circle, square, rectangle etc
Step 3: Class activity
Divide the class into three groups. Teacher gives instruction to the pupils about the activity and distribute the materials needed.
In this activity, each group will be given variety of pictures with different kind of shapes in an envelop. Then the pupils will categorize the shapes of every pictures by writing in the sheet provided eg. Circle = ball, orange
Step 4:
Teacher collects the outcomes from every groups and teacher discuss and corrects if their any mistakes in front of all pupils
Step 5: Individuals classwork
Pupils given a worksheet and they should done it individually.
Step 6: Closure
Teacher recaps the lesson taught by showing different materials and pupils say out the shapes and spell it loudly. |
